Our previous model delivered speeds of 5 Gbps via the USB-A 3.0 ports, while the newer model will deliver speeds of 10 Gbps and the ports have been updated to USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports.

USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports are backward compatible, so any device that requires versions 3.0, 3.1, or 3.2 will fit into old USB 2.0 ports.
