Does this adapter allow data connectivity? For example can I connect my iPad Pro 2018 to this "Type-C to 3.5mm Audio Headphone Jack Adapter" then connect the adapter to my Macbook Pro via a standard USB-C to USB-A cable? Then the Macbook Pro should recognise the iPad? Currently it is not recognised. I assumed this was standard behaviour for all USB adapters. Could you please clarify?
