Would this work with a Satechi USB-C Multiport Slim Adapter?

Hello! I have some HDMI disconnect issues with this adapter on PC, and I was wondering if this firmware update might help. Could you provide a windows version of the update tool?

HTML links allow users to click on text to navigate to a new page, or a link to a downloadable file. It has the following syntax:

    <a href="url">link text</a>

Perhaps you can use this to link to the file "Multi-Port Hub Adapter Firmware Updater.zip"

I am having a problem with my Apple Cinema LED display connected via MiniDisplayPort, it's flickering every 10 seconds or so. I followed the instructions and updated / verified the firmware on the hub, but it didn't help. Is there any other update which might help? Thank you.

I just wanted to drop a note to express my gratitude for Satechi working to fix (via firmware updates) the problems seen by a lot of people lately. I was personally affected by the ethernet disconnecting all the time and have just applied the update to see if it fixes the problem. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

After constant ethernet trouble on Big Sur I was hoping this to fix my troubles with my v1 adapter. The updater runs fine and ends with "update pass". But after rebooting the adapter is practically bricked - no charging, no display, no ethernet.

When running the verification it states that my firmware is "FW Version is 35.41.01.A0".

I've tried the update/reboot/verify process once more but no change. This has pretty much bricked my adapter. Not ideal. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Patrick, same thing happened to me (although I have a V2). All I had to do was disconnect the pass through power to the adapter, wait a bit then reconnect it (in effect rebooting it), and then hook it back up to the Mac. Give it a try, it might work for you too.

Brandon: Thanks for keeping my hopes up :) I'll give it another go.

    Two questions:
    - Did you have the same mismatch in firmware version as I did? The screenshots say that the firmware should be 87.24.etc

    - Did the update solve the Big Sur ethernet trouble for you? (if you had any trouble, that is)

The versions for the V1 and V2 adapter might be different, someone from Satechi will be in a better position to comment on that.

Yes I had Ethernet problems too, it would disconnect every now and again and i'd have to go through the whole procedure of removing it from Network preferences and add it again. It's only been about a week since I updated the firmware so it's a bit early to say.

Patrick, looks like it didn't fix the Ethernet problem. It came back in just over a week.

Having said that I really do think this is a Big Sur issue, I never had this problem on Catalina, it only started after the upgrade to 11.x

Did I run this code incorrectly - I ran it through 'Terminal' on the Mac and now only one monitor works- I was running one through the Satechi Hub, and the other through a USB-C to Display. Now only the Satechi hub works?

I'm having the same issues with my V2 as Brandon Yap. Every now and then the ethernet disconnects. Disconnecting and reconnecting the hub makes it work again. This behaviour makes the hub useless for me.
