Use the dedicated charging port. The Mobile XR Hub with Audio has two USB-C ports with separate roles, plus a 3.5mm audio jack:

• Charging port: USB-C Power Delivery (PD), up to 100W maximum charging (PD3.1 SPR), with USB 2.0 data (up to 480Mbps) and audio support.
• Data and video port: USB 3.0 up to 10Gbps, with DisplayPort (DP) 1.4 video output up to 4K at 60Hz through a USB-C-to-HDMI or USB-C-to-DisplayPort cable. This port does not charge the device.

So charging runs through the charging port, not the center data and video port.
