Yes. The Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station with DisplayLink requires the DisplayLink software, and you must install it before using the HDMI ports. The two HDMI ports do not work without it.
On macOS 11 or later: install DisplayLink Manager. macOS also requires you to grant Screen Recording permission so DisplayLink can render your mirrored or extended display. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Screen Recording, and enable DisplayLink Manager.
On Windows and Android: install the DisplayLink software before connecting HDMI displays.
DisplayLink is not available on iOS or iPadOS. For the current DisplayLink download link, please contact Satechi Support.
