Yes, although meant for data transfer, the USB ports should charge your iPhone. However, it will not provide enough power to charge an iPad.

The Type-C Combo Hub connects to your 2016/2017 MacBook Pro's USB-C port. The hub will not fit earlier MacBook Pro models with Thunderbolt or standard USB ports.

No, only one card slot can be used at a time. Either the SD card slot or the Micro SD card slot can be used at a time.
