Why does my phone keep disconnecting?
You must have a MagSafe-supported phone case. If it continues to disconnect, then your phone case may be too thick.
How long is the included USB-C charging cable?
The included USB-C to USB-C charging cable is approximately 36" in length.
Is this compatible with the Apple Car Play feature?
Apple Car Play will come standard with Bluetooth or through a direct connection. (typically through the USB-A port of your vehicle)
Suppose your vehicle utilizes the wired Apple Car Play feature. In that case, you will need to use a Lightning or USB-C to USB-A cable and directly connect your iPhone to the USB-A port on your vehicle; essentially using the Magnetic Wireless Car Charger as a mount.
Note: Directly connecting the Magnetic Car Charger to your vehicle's USB data port will not provide CarPlay access.
If your vehicle utilizes Bluetooth or Wireless CarPlay, while your phone is paired, you can access Apple CarPlay and connect the included USB-C to USB-C cable from the mount to wirelessly charge your phone when connected to a car charger like the following:

My car does not have a USB-C port. Can I use a different cable to power the charger?
Yes, you may use a USB-C-to-USB-A cable to power the Wireless Charger, but will only have a maximum charging output of 5W.
Can this attach to the odd venting on the dashboard of a Tesla M3?
This magnetic car mount is designed to fit on a standard car air vent and may not be suitable for your Tesla.
Will I be able to use this with a case on my phone?
Only MagSafe-supported cases are recommended.
How much power/energy is required for this to work?
The Magnetic Wireless Car Charger is able to output 5W and 7.5W of Qi-wireless charging power, as long as a minimum of 12W (5V-2.4A) is provided. Most newer cars will have an available USB-A port for charging, with some even coming equipped with USB-C ports.
If your vehicle does not include any USB ports but does have a DC/cigarette port, you may use a USB Car Charger Adapter and compatible charging cable to provide power to the wireless charger.
Will this work with older iPhones?
Although recommended for the iPhone 12 models which utilize MagSafe technology, you will also be able to charge older iPhone 10-11 models with our very own Satechi Magnetic Sticker
What car charger do you recommend using with this Magnetic Charger?
You will be able to use any USB-C PD car charger that supports 20W and up. We would highly recommend our 72W Type-C PD Car Charger or our 40W Dual USB-C Car Charger that are compatible with most car's 12V cigarette ports. (12-24V)
