With 100W, will my phone charge faster when I use this charger?

Charging speed depends on the device. The charger can deliver up to 100 W if the phone supports USB‑C PD at that level, even though most phones only draw 18-30 W. So unless your phone negotiates higher PD input, you’ll get typical fast‑charging rates rather than full 100 W.

Will 100W damage my phone’s battery if I use this to charge it?

No. The charger intelligently negotiates via USB‑C Power Delivery with the connected device. It will only send what the device is designed to accept, so it will not overcharge or damage your battery.

What is the Voltage Rate?

The charger supports a voltage input range of 100 V ; 240 V, making it compatible with power outlets worldwide.

I have a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) and a MacBook Air (M1, 2020). Will it also be compatible with the MacBook Air as the charger that comes with it is only capable of 30 Watts?

Yes. The charger is fully compatible with both models. Even though the MacBook Air (M1, 2020) includes a 30 W charger originally, with the 100 W charger it will draw only up to 30 W or whatever its negotiated PD allows.

Is this charger smaller than the Apple 96W Power Adapter?

Yes. The Satechi 100 W USB‑C PD Wall Charger is marginally smaller and more compact than Apple’s 96W Power Adapter.

Does this charger come with an on/off switch?

No. There is no power switch, this is a plug‑and‑play device. As soon as it’s plugged into an outlet, it’s immediately ready for charging.

Will you be coming out with different colors?

Not for the time being. The charger is currently only available in Space Gray, with no alternative color options announced.
