This Quick Start Guide covers setup of the Satechi Vegan-Leather Premium Desk Mat (ST-LPDMK ST-LPDMN ST-LPDMB AP-LPDMU): unrolling and flattening the mat, setting up your keyboard, mouse, and accessories on it, and keeping the vegan-leather surface clean.

Setup steps:

Step 1: Unroll the Desk Mat

• Remove the desk mat from its packaging.
• Place it on a flat, clean desk surface with the non-slip base facing down.
• Gently unroll the mat fully from end to end.

Step 2: Allow the Mat to Flatten

• Leave the mat laid flat for 24 to 48 hours. The mat ships tightly rolled and needs time to fully relax. This is normal.
• Lightly wipe the surface with a dry cloth to remove any packaging residue before placing items on it.
• If edges still curl after 48 hours, place a few light flat objects (books, a keyboard) along the edges overnight.

Step 3: Set Up Your Workspace

• Place your keyboard, mouse, and accessories on the mat.
• The weight of your accessories helps hold the mat flat during the initial settling period.
• Works on most flat surfaces. Safe for wooden and lacquered desks.

Step 4: Clean Your Desk Mat

• Wipe down with a soft microfiber cloth or paper towel.
• Wipe up spills — coffee, water, food — immediately to prevent staining.
• For deeper cleaning, dampen a cloth with water and a small amount of mild soap (e.g., diluted dish soap). Spot clean only; do not saturate the surface.

Important Notes

• Do not submerge the desk mat in water.

• Do not use abrasive scrubbers, sponges, or brushes — they scratch and wear the surface over time.
