SiliconMotion InstantView Setup
The M1 Adapter requires the InstantView app by SiliconMotion to support multi-display HDMI output. Without InstantView installed, only one HDMI port will produce video.
macOS Installation
- Download the latest macOS installer from SiliconMotion Downloads.
- Open the downloaded .dmg file and run the installer.
- Grant the required permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording when prompted.
- Restart your Mac after installation.
Supported on macOS Catalina through Sequoia.
Windows Installation
- Download the latest Windows installer from SiliconMotion Downloads.
- Run the .exe installer and follow the prompts.
- Restart your PC after installation.
Supported on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Troubleshooting
Second HDMI Not Working
Confirm InstantView is installed and running (check menu bar on Mac, system tray on Windows). If just installed, restart your computer. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the adapter.
Intermittent Display Flickering
Update InstantView to the latest version. Try a different HDMI cable. Reduce resolution to 1080p to test if the issue is bandwidth-related.
