This Quick Start Guide covers setup of the Satechi Slim CEX3 and CEX1 Wireless Combos. The CEX3 combo includes the Slim EX3 Wireless Keyboard and the CEX1 combo includes the Slim EX1 Wireless Keyboard. Both combos include the Slim EX Wireless Mouse.

What's in the Box

Keyboard, mouse, 2.4GHz USB-C receiver and two USB-C to USB-C charging cables.

Step 1: Charge both devices

Before use, fully charge the keyboard and the mouse using the included USB-C cables. Each takes 2 to 3 hours. The keyboard and the mouse can be used while charging.

Step 2: Turn both devices on

Turn on the keyboard using the power switch on the top edge. Turn on the mouse using the power switch on the back.

Step 3: Select your operating system

Set the MAC / WIN switch on the keyboard to match your computer.

Step 4: Connect with the 2.4GHz receiver

One 2.4GHz USB-C receiver connects both the keyboard and the mouse. Plug the receiver into a USB-C port on your computer.

If the keyboard does not connect on its own, remove the receiver, then press and hold the key with the 2.4GHz dongle icon (on the CEX1, hold Fn and press the dongle key, the same key as R) and insert the receiver again. If the mouse does not connect on its own, remove the receiver, hold the right and middle mouse buttons while turning the mouse on, then insert the receiver again.

Step 5: Connect with Bluetooth (optional)

Keyboard: On the CEX3, press and hold one of the Bluetooth keys (1 to 3) for 3 to 5 seconds. On the CEX1, press and hold Fn, press one of the Bluetooth keys (Q, W or E) once, then press and hold it again for 3 to 5 seconds. The white LED blinks to show pairing mode. On your device, open Bluetooth settings and select "EX3 Keyboard" or "EX1 Keyboard".

Mouse: Press the pairing button to select connection 1 or 2, then hold it for 3 to 5 seconds until the LED flashes white. On your device, open Bluetooth settings and select "EX Mouse".

Switching between devices

The keyboard connects to up to three devices by Bluetooth plus a fourth through the 2.4GHz receiver. To switch, press the Bluetooth key or the 2.4GHz key for the device you want (on the CEX1, hold Fn and press Q, W, E or R).

The mouse connects to up to two devices by Bluetooth plus a third through the 2.4GHz receiver. To switch, press the pairing button to select the connection.

LED indicators

Keyboard: green for 3 seconds when turned on, flashing red when the battery is low, red while charging, green when fully charged. The white LED turns on when Caps Lock is enabled.

Mouse: blue while charging, green when fully charged, red when the battery is low, flashing white in pairing mode.

Sleep mode

The keyboard goes to sleep after 60 minutes without use and the mouse after 10 minutes. Press any key to wake the keyboard. Turn off both devices with their power switches when not in use.
