Setup

Step 3: If connecting to an external display, ensure your monitor's input is set to the correct HDMI or DisplayPort/Alt Mode source.

Important Notes

Power delivery: Host device and peripherals must support Extended Power Range (EPR) / Power Delivery 3.1 to reach 240W.

Video output: Video output up to 8K/60Hz on a single external monitor. Not all host devices support 8K output — requires a compatible GPU and display.

Backward compatible: Downward compatible with USB4, Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 2, USB 3.2/3.1/3.0/2.0. Full speed requires both ends to support Thunderbolt Certified.
