The MacBook Neo has an aluminum body, and aluminum is not ferromagnetic (it is not a magnetic metal), so the magnetic base on the OntheGo 5-in-1 Multiport Adapter will not grip the MacBook Neo firmly by itself. To get a secure hold, attach the included 3M adhesive ring to your MacBook Neo, and the magnetic base connects to that ring without any problem. Keep in mind that the magnetic base is a positioning feature that holds the OntheGo 5-in-1 in place, not a wireless charger.
