This User Manual covers setup, features, compatibility, and specifications for the Satechi OntheGo™ 5-in-1 Multiport Adapter (ST-POTG5S / ST-POTG5B / ST-POTG5Y / ST-POTG5P).

Product Overview

The OntheGo™ 5-in-1 Multiport Adapter connects to a USB-C host device with its braided USB-C cable and adds a USB-C data port (up to 5Gbps), a USB-C PD port (60W max), a USB-A data port (up to 5Gbps), an SD reader (up to 104MB/s, UHS-I), and an HDMI port (up to 4K/60Hz). The cable coils into the bottom groove of the adapter for travel, and the 2x 3M Adhesive Rings let you attach the adapter to a clean, flat surface.

Setup

Plug & Play

1. Connect to a USB-C host device: Plug the braided USB-C cable (host) into your USB-C host device.
2. Connect your devices.

Power On/Off Indicator: Powering on: white LED. Powering off: LED off.

Attach the 3M adhesive ring (optional)

1. Clean the surface where you will place the 3M Adhesive Ring.
2. Before peeling the adhesive, check that the USB-C cable comfortably reaches your device's port. Adjust placement if needed.
3. Remove the protective film from the 3M Adhesive Ring to expose the adhesive.
4. Press the 3M Adhesive Ring firmly onto a clean, flat surface. Avoid curved or textured areas.
5. Attach the OntheGo™ 5-in-1 Adapter and connect your devices.

Wrap and secure the cable

1. Coil the USB-C cable into the bottom groove of the adapter, following the circular path.
2. Push the USB-C connector into the designated clips to lock it in place.
3. Ensure the cable sits flush and the connector is firmly held to prevent it from coming loose during travel.

1. Braided USB-C Cable (Host): Connects to your USB-C host device. Coils into the bottom groove of the adapter and locks into the designated clips for travel.
2. USB-C Data Port (up to 5Gbps): Does not support video output.
3. USB-C PD Port (60W max): Does not support video output.
4. LED Indicator: Powering on: white LED. Powering off: LED off.
5. USB-A Data Port (up to 5Gbps)
6. SD Reader (up to 104MB/s) (UHS-I): Insert the SD card with the pins facing down.
7. HDMI Port (up to 4K/60Hz)
8. 2x 3M Adhesive Rings: Press a ring firmly onto a clean, flat surface, then attach the adapter. See Attach the 3M adhesive ring above.

Important Limitations

USB-C ports do not support video output.

Insert SD card with the pins facing down.

Magnetic base does not provide wireless charging.

Not compatible with Apple USB SuperDrive or CD readers.
