The USB-C receiver is only required for 2.4 GHz wireless mode. The USB-C receiver is the small adapter that plugs into your computer and connects the Slim EX Wireless Mouse over 2.4 GHz wireless. If you connect the Slim EX Wireless Mouse over Bluetooth instead, you do not need the receiver.
