This User Manual covers setup, OS switching, shortcut keys, and troubleshooting for the Satechi Slim LX3 Wired Keyboard (ST-KULX3C-EN / ST-KULX3S-EN). The Slim LX3 Wired Keyboard is an ultra-slim USB-C wired keyboard compatible with Mac, Windows, and iPad, featuring dedicated shortcut keys and a compact full-size layout.

Setup

1. Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the keyboard.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB-C port on your Mac, PC, or iPad.
3. The keyboard is recognized automatically — no drivers required.
4. Select your operating system mode using the OS switch (see OS Switching below).

For computers with USB-A ports only, use a USB-C to USB-A adapter (sold separately).

OS Switching

The Slim LX3 Wired Keyboard supports Mac, Windows, and iPad modes. Use the OS function key or physical switch to select your operating system:

• Mac mode — Command and Option keys function in their standard macOS positions.
• Windows mode — Windows key is correctly mapped for PC use.
• iPad mode — Optimized key layout for iPadOS.

Shortcut Key Reference

The top row of function keys doubles as media and system shortcut keys depending on your OS mode:

• F1–F2: Screen brightness down/up (macOS)
• F3: Mission Control / Task View
• F4: Launchpad / App search
• F5–F6: Keyboard backlight (if supported by OS)
• F7–F9: Previous track, Play/Pause, Next track
• F10: Mute
• F11–F12: Volume down/up

Troubleshooting

• Keyboard not recognized — Unplug and reconnect the USB-C cable. Try a different USB-C port. Restart the computer and reconnect.
• Wrong key behavior on Mac — Ensure the OS switch is set to Mac mode. In macOS System Preferences > Keyboard, run the keyboard setup assistant to configure modifier keys.
• Function keys not working as shortcuts — The Fn key may need to be held to access media shortcuts depending on OS settings. Check Keyboard preferences in System Preferences or Windows Settings.
