Display Configuration
The Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Pro Dock supports multiple external displays depending on the host computer's capabilities:
- Mac with Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) β Supports up to 2 external displays via the dock (one via Thunderbolt 4 downstream, one via HDMI). Requires macOS Ventura or later with DisplayLink support for additional displays.
- Mac with Intel β Supports up to 2 external displays natively.
- Windows laptops (Thunderbolt 4) β Up to 2 external displays at 4K @ 60Hz.
For non-mirrored (extended) display setup on macOS: System Settings > Displays > Arrangement, then disable Mirror Displays.
Troubleshooting
- Dock not recognized β Ensure the power adapter is connected. Use the included Thunderbolt 4 cable and connect to the Thunderbolt 4 (β‘) port on your laptop. Try a different Thunderbolt 4 port.
- Display not detected β Connect display before powering on the dock. On macOS go to System Settings > Displays and click "Detect Displays." Ensure the display cable supports the target resolution.
- USB devices not working β Unplug and reconnect the device. Try a different USB port on the dock. Some USB devices require direct connection to the computer rather than a hub.
- Ethernet not detected β Check the Ethernet cable connection. On macOS, go to System Settings > Network and confirm the Ethernet interface is active. A 2.5GbE switch or router is required for 2.5Gbps speeds.
- Laptop charging slowly β Confirm the power adapter is connected to the dock. MacBook Pro models requiring more than 96W may charge slowly when the dock is also powering multiple peripherals.
