This User Manual covers what's included, setup, ports, and important notes for the Satechi Triple 4K Display Docking Station (ST-D4KTM-US / ST-D4KTM-EU / ST-D4KTM-UK / ST-D4KTM-AU).

Product Overview

The Satechi Triple 4K Display Docking Station connects to your host device with the included USB-C to USB-C host cable, which has a USB-A adapter attached. The dock is powered by the included power supply (shown as 130W in the setup diagram), and its Host Port supports PD up to 100W. Triple monitor output requires the DisplayLink software on your host device.

Setup

1. Plug the included power supply into a wall outlet, then connect it to the DC Port on the back of the dock (marked DC 20V).
2. Connect the included USB-C to USB-C host cable from the Host Port on the dock to your host device. To connect to a USB-A host device, use the USB-A adapter attached to the cable (see Important Limitations).
3. Download the DisplayLink software on your host device by visiting https://satechi.com/pages/displaylink-instructions. DisplayLink software is required for triple monitor output.

Ports and Features

The ports below are numbered to match the front and back views.

1. Host Port: Connect the included USB-C to USB-C host cable here to connect the dock to your host device. PD up to 100W.
2. USB 3.1 Gen 2 Port: Up to 10Gbps, 7.5W.
3. USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 Port: Up to 10Gbps, 7.5W.
4. USB-C 3.0 Port: Up to 5Gbps.

6. Power Button
7. Kensington Lock
8. DC Port: 20V. Connect the included power supply here.
9. Ethernet Port: 1 Gigabit.
10. 2x USB 3.0 Ports: Up to 5Gbps.

12. 2x HDMI 2.0 Ports: 4K@60Hz. Requires DisplayLink software.
13. HDMI Port (DP Alt Mode): 4K@60Hz. Not marked as requiring DisplayLink software.

On the back of the dock, the HDMI Port (13) is labeled DISPLAY 1. The DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports (11 and 12) are grouped under the labels DISPLAY 2 and DISPLAY 3.

Important Limitations

• DisplayLink software is required for triple monitor output.
• When connecting to a USB-A host device using the included adapter, only the Display 2 and Display 3 ports will output video, using the DisplayLink software.
• Before powering off the docking station, make sure all external storage devices have been properly ejected. Failure to do so can result in damaged or corrupted files.
