The ChargeView 140W Desktop Charger shares its 140W of total power across whichever ports are in use, so you can charge a laptop along with phones, tablets, and other USB-C devices at the same time. When you plug in or unplug a device, the charger automatically renegotiates how much power each port receives. For the best results, connect your highest-power device, such as a laptop, to Port C1.
Here is how power is distributed based on which ports are in use:
Single port
- C1: up to 140W
- C2: up to 140W
- C3: up to 40W
- C4: up to 40W
Two ports
- C1 + C2: 70W and 70W
- C1 + C3: 100W and 40W
- C1 + C4: 100W and 40W
- C2 + C3: 100W and 40W
- C2 + C4: 100W and 40W
- C3 + C4: 20W and 20W
Three ports
- C1 + C2 + C3: 65W, 45W, and 30W
- C1 + C2 + C4: 65W, 45W, and 30W
- C1 + C3 + C4: 70W, 40W, and 30W
- C2 + C3 + C4: 70W, 40W, and 30W
All four ports
- C1 + C2 + C3 + C4: 65W, 40W, 20W, and 15W
These figures are the most each port can provide in that combination. Each device draws only as much power as it supports.
