Product Overview
The USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable connects directly to a USB-C power source and charges a MagSafe or Qi-compatible iPhone through magnetic alignment or flat placement, at up to 7.5W.
Setup
- Connect power: Connect the cable to a USB-C power source. A USB-C power source of 18W or higher is required.
- Place your iPhone: Place your iPhone face up on the charger. It will attach magnetically. iPhone 12 and later support magnetic attachment.
- Charging: Your iPhone will begin charging wirelessly. Supports up to 7.5W wireless charging for iPhone.
- Finish charging: Remove your iPhone from the charger once the battery is fully charged.
Ports and Features
USB-C Connector — Connects the cable to a USB-C power source (18W or higher required).
Magnetic Wireless Charging Head — Aligns magnetically with MagSafe-compatible iPhones and charges wirelessly at up to 7.5W. Also charges other Qi-compatible devices at a lower speed when placed flat on the charging head.
LED Indicator — Located on the charging head; shows charging status.
Features
- Magnetic alignment for MagSafe-compatible iPhones
- Up to 7.5W wireless charging for supported iPhones
- Also charges other Qi-compatible devices placed flat on the charging head (without magnetic snap)
- Compact, built-in cable design — no separate charging pad needed
LED Indicators
The LED indicator slowly fades in and out while the connected device is charging normally. It blinks on and off if there is a charging error.
Important Limitations
iPhone 11 models, and iPhone 12 models with a non-MagSafe case, require the Satechi Magnetic Sticker (sold separately) to attach magnetically. Without the Magnetic Sticker, the charger will not click into place and may not charge these devices correctly.
15W charging is not supported: This charger outputs a maximum of 7.5W for iPhone, even when connected to a higher-wattage power source.
