Setup
Turning the Keyboard On/Off
Move the switch on the top of the device to the "on" position.
Note: If the keyboard does not power on, please attempt to charge it and try again.
Pairing Your Devices (Bluetooth Mode)
Wirelessly pair your keyboard to a compatible Bluetooth host device by holding fn + "1" or "2" keys for 3 seconds. The backlight will turn on for 3 seconds and then power off after a successful connection.
2.4 GHz USB Receiver
1. Connect the included 2.4 GHz USB receiver, magnetized to the back of your keyboard, to a USB-A port on your host device or a compatible adapter.
2. Press and hold fn + "3" keys for 3 seconds to enable the receiver. The backlight will turn on for 3 seconds and then turn off after a successful connection.
Wired Mode
Enable wired mode by holding fn + "4" keys for 3 seconds. The key backlight will turn on for 3 seconds and then turn off after a successful connection.
Note: When in wired mode, the keyboard will charge while connected if the port supports power delivery. The keyboard does not enter sleep mode in wired mode, and the backlight remains on unless turned off manually.
OS Selection
macOS: Upon pairing, press and hold fn + O for 3 seconds.
Windows: Upon pairing, press and hold fn + P for 3 seconds.
Note: When pairing with Windows OS, pair via Control Panel and not Bluetooth Settings. Satechi keyboards are seen as input devices on Windows, requiring them to pair via Control Panel.
Fn Lock
When Fn Lock is activated, the Esc key will flash every second, indicating the feature is enabled. To disable Fn Lock, press and hold Fn + Esc for 1–2 seconds or until the Esc key stops flashing.
Charging Your Keyboard
Connect the included USB-C to USB-C cable to the USB-C port on your keyboard.
Charging LED: The backlight on the space bar key will turn red to indicate charging.
Fully Charged: Once the keyboard battery is full, the backlight will turn off or turn white if backlight is enabled on the keyboard.
Backlight Patterns
14 total patterns. To turn the backlight on/off, hold the backlight key for 5 seconds. To switch between patterns, press the key once. Increase or decrease backlight brightness using the dedicated keys. The Caps Lock backlight will turn turquoise when Caps Lock is enabled.
Low Power Mode
When the keyboard reaches low power mode, the space bar key will slowly flash white to indicate low power, and the backlight feature will be disabled to conserve battery.
Sleep Modes
Bluetooth 1 & 2: After 1 minute of inactivity, the backlight turns off to conserve battery. After 30 minutes of inactivity, the keyboard enters sleep mode until a key is pressed.
2.4 GHz USB Receiver: After 1 minute of inactivity, the backlight turns off to conserve battery. After 10 minutes of inactivity, the keyboard enters sleep mode until a key is pressed.
Wired Mode: The keyboard does not enter sleep mode, and the backlight remains on unless turned off manually.
Reset Keyboard
To reset the keyboard and forget all devices, press and hold Fn + Ctrl (Left) + Del for 3 seconds. The keyboard backlight will flash 3 times, confirming the reset has been completed.
Important
Upon pairing, please select the correct operating system: press and hold Fn + O for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS; press and hold Fn + P for Windows. Failure to do so may result in your keyboard functioning improperly.
When wirelessly pairing with some Windows operating systems, it may require you to pair via Control Panel and not Bluetooth Settings.
Mechanical switches are soldered to the PCB and are not hot-swappable. Please do not attempt to remove switches from the keyboard.
Keyboard keycaps are removable and replaceable. It is recommended to use a keycap puller when removing keys to ensure no damage will be done to the switch.
When using Windows, swap the two additional keys for more accurate performance.
