This User Manual covers all features, setup, and pairing instructions for the Satechi R2 Bluetooth Multimedia Remote Control (ST-BTMR2M), a Bluetooth remote with multimedia and presentation modes and USB-C charging.

Functions

1. Key Function Table: The buttons on the front of the remote. See the Key Function Table below for what each button does in each mode.
2. Status Indicator: The LED that shows power on, pairing, battery low, and fully charged status. See LED Indicators below.
3. Multimedia/Presentation Mode Switch: Switch between M (Multimedia Mode) and P (Presentation Mode).
4. USB-C Charging Port: Connect the included USB-C charging cable here to charge the remote.
5. Bluetooth Pairing Button: Long press (5s) to enter pairing mode.
6. Power Switch: Turns the remote on or off.

Setup

Powering On / Off

Turn the Power Switch to ON. When turned on, the LED blinks 3 times, then turns off.

Pairing (Bluetooth)

1. Long press (5s) the Bluetooth Pairing Button. The LED blinks fast, indicating Pairing Mode.
2. On your device, select "R2 Remote," then select Connect.
3. Once paired, the LED blinks slowly for 10 seconds, then turns off.

Note: The remote will reconnect to the last device automatically when powered off and back on.

Note: Long pressing (5s) the Bluetooth Pairing Button disconnects the remote from the last device and puts it in pairing mode, waiting for a new pairing.

Charging

Connect the included USB-C charging cable to the USB-C Charging Port to charge the remote. The Status Indicator shows a red LED when the battery is low and a green LED when it is fully charged.

LED Indicators

Blinks 3 times, then turns off: Turned on.
Blinks fast: Pairing Mode.
Blinks slowly for 10 seconds, then turns off: Paired.
Red LED: Battery Low.
Green LED: Fully Charged.

Key Function Table

Important Limitations

Windows: Not compatible with Windows devices.

iOS only functions: Siri and Virtual Keyboard (Multimedia Mode) work with iOS only.

Battery caution:

• Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
• Disposing of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting a battery, can result in an explosion.
• Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
• A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
