Note: The R1 Bluetooth Presentation Remote is not compatible with Windows devices.
Note: Only the laser pointer works without pairing to a device. All other functions require Bluetooth pairing.
Functions
1. Laser Pointer — Emits a laser point for presentations.
2. Status Indicator — Shows pairing mode, battery status, and charging status.
3. Laser Button — Press to activate the laser pointer.
4. Next Slide — Advances to the next slide.
5. Previous Slide — Returns to the previous slide.
6. Virtual Keyboard — Toggles the virtual keyboard on supported devices.
7. Black Screen — Blacks out the presentation screen.
8. USB-C Charging Port — Connect the included cable here to charge the remote.
9. Bluetooth Pairing Button — Press and hold to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
10. On/Off Switch — Slide to turn the remote on or off.
Setup
Powering On / Off
Slide the On/Off Switch to turn the remote on or off. When turned on, the LED will blink green 3 times, then turn off.
Pairing (Bluetooth)
1. Press and hold the Bluetooth Pairing Button for 5 seconds until the LED begins blinking fast, indicating Pairing Mode.
2. On your Mac or mobile device, open Bluetooth settings, select "R1 Presenter," then click Connect.
3. Once paired, the LED will blink slowly for 10 seconds, then turn off.
Note: The remote will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered off and back on.
Note: Pressing and holding (5s) the Bluetooth Pairing Button will disconnect the remote from the last device and put it into pairing mode for a new connection.
Charging
Connect the included USB-C charging cable to the USB-C Charging Port to charge the remote.
LED Indicators
Green LED blinking fast — Pairing Mode.
Green LED blinking slowly (10s), then off — Paired / Connected.
Green LED blinks 3 times, then off — Powering On.
Red LED — Battery Low.
Green LED (while charging) — Fully Charged.
Safety Instructions
Laser Safety (Class 2 Laser Product):
1. Do not stare into the beam, i.e. to perform active protective reactions by moving the head or closing the eyes and to avoid continued intentional intrabeam viewing.
2. Laser is harmful to human eyes. Please do not direct it to human eyes, and keep it away from children to avoid accidental injury. When using the laser indoors or at close range, please wear laser protective glasses. Avoid direct light beam to eyes.
3. When using, make sure that the laser cannot be aimed at others or yourself, and when using it at close range, be careful not to aim at easily ignited substances.
4. Don't lend the laser remote control to others who don't understand the harmfulness of laser. If you must borrow it out, please clearly inform the other person of the correct usage and precautions.
5. The laser remote control has a certain degree of danger. After focusing, the focus point of the laser has a certain degree of heat, which can cause physical harm.
6. Turn off the laser function when not in use.
Battery Safety:
Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
- Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, that can result in an explosion.
- Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment that can result in the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure that may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
