If your USB-C iPhone or iPad does not recognize the OntheGo 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter (ST-POTG7C), check compatibility and how you reach each feature.
How to get your iPhone or iPad to recognize the adapter
- Confirm your device has a USB-C port, since the adapter needs a USB-C iPhone or iPad, not a Lightning device.
- For SD cards and drives, open the Files app to view the contents, since iPhone and iPad do not show a desktop icon.
- For an external display, note that an iPhone and most iPads mirror the screen. Extended display needs Stage Manager on a supported M-series iPad.
- Plug a USB-C charger into the adapter's Power Delivery port to keep the device charged while accessories are connected.
- Reseat the adapter, remove any thick case blocking the port, and update iOS or iPadOS.
