If your Vegan-Leather FindAll Passport Cover (models ST-VPCK, ST-VPCW, and ST-VPCR) is not showing up in the Find My app, it is almost always because the battery is depleted, Bluetooth is off, or pairing did not finish. Charge the cover, check your iPhone, then pair it again using the steps below.
Steps to get your FindAll Passport Cover into Find My
- Power on the Passport Cover. Press the power button once, and you should hear a confirmation sound. If you hear nothing, the battery is likely depleted, so charge it first.
- Charge the cover. A depleted battery is the most common reason it will not appear. Place the circular charging area on the back of the cover (marked with the Satechi logo) on a MagSafe, Qi, or Qi2 wireless charger (a wireless charger is not included). The light shows orange while charging and green when the cover is fully charged.
- Check your iPhone. Turn on Bluetooth and make sure you are signed in to your Apple Account. The Passport Cover connects over Bluetooth and needs the Find My app.
- Pair the cover again. Open the Find My app, tap the Items tab, tap Add New Item, then tap Other Supported Item. When "Satechi FindAll Passport Cover" appears, tap Connect and follow the prompts to name it. Keep the app open the whole time. If pairing does not finish within 10 minutes of powering on, the cover beeps and powers off, so power it on again and start pairing right away.
- If the cover belonged to someone else before you, it may still be linked to their Apple Account. The previous owner needs to remove it from their Find My app under Items, then Remove Item. Apple's security blocks pairing to a new Apple Account until that is done.
- Factory reset the cover and pair it fresh. Quickly press the power button 4 times, then press and hold once more for at least 3 seconds until you hear a confirmation sound. Once the reset is complete, repeat the pairing steps above.
