If your Bluetooth Media Button (ST-BMB) will not pair, the cause is usually the battery, pairing mode, or an old saved connection on your device. Work through the steps below to get it connected.

Steps to pair a Bluetooth Media Button that won't connect

1. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone, tablet, or computer.
2. Check the battery. The Bluetooth Media Button runs on a replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery, not a rechargeable one. If it will not pair or the light does not blink, replace the CR2032 battery with a fresh one.
3. Put the button into pairing mode. Press and hold the Pairing Button for 3 seconds until the blue LED on the front starts blinking.
4. Select it on your device. In your device's Bluetooth settings, tap "Bluetooth Media Button" in the list of found devices, then tap Pair. Keep the button close to your device while it connects.
5. If it paired before, forget it first. Open your Bluetooth settings, forget or remove the Bluetooth Media Button, then repeat the pairing steps above.
6. Confirm your device is supported. The Bluetooth Media Button works with Mac (macOS 10.12 or later), iPhone and iPad (iOS or iPadOS 16 or later), Android phones and tablets with Bluetooth, and Windows 10 or 11 PCs with Bluetooth.
