If your OntheGo Bluetooth Mouse (models ST-MOTGK and ST-MOTGW) will not connect, the cause is usually a low battery, the power switch, pairing mode, or the wrong channel. Work through the steps below to get it paired.
Steps to fix an OntheGo Bluetooth Mouse that won't connect
- Charge it first. A low battery can stop the mouse from connecting, and the mouse powers off on its own when the battery drains. Connect the included USB-C cable to the charging port on the bottom and plug the other end into a computer or USB wall adapter. The center LED glows red while charging and green when fully charged, and a full charge takes about 2 to 3 hours.
- Power it on and remove the film. Slide the On/Off Switch on the bottom of the mouse to ON. If this is your first time using it, peel off the clear protective film on the bottom so the sensor can track.
- Put the mouse into pairing mode. Press and hold the Pairing Button for 3 to 5 seconds until the white LED flashes.
- Connect from your device. Turn on Bluetooth on your device (on a Mac, open System Settings, then Bluetooth), then select "OntheGo Mouse" from the list. The mouse shows as connected once it is paired.
- Check the channel if you pair more than one device. The OntheGo Bluetooth Mouse pairs with up to 3 devices. Press the Pairing Button to switch channels, and the LED above the active channel lights up. Make sure it is set to the channel for the device you are using.
- Re-pair if it still will not connect. In your Bluetooth settings, forget or remove "OntheGo Mouse," then repeat the pairing steps above.
