If your OntheGo 67W Slim Wall Charger (models ST-COTG67K-US, ST-COTG67W-US, and ST-COTG67R-US) is not charging your device, the cause is usually the cable, the outlet, or how the charger is connected. Work through the steps below to get charging started.
Steps to fix an OntheGo 67W Slim Wall Charger that is not charging
- Check the charger for damage first. Look for cracks, bent prongs, burn marks, discoloration, or a burnt smell. If you notice any of these, stop and do not plug the charger into an outlet.
- Use a proper USB-C cable. The charger comes with a manual only and no cable, so connect a USB-C cable, ideally one rated for USB-C Power Delivery (PD) so your device charges at its fastest supported speed. If charging does not start, try a different USB-C cable.
- Seat the plug and cable fully. Rotate the prongs out and plug the charger firmly into the wall outlet, then insert the USB-C cable all the way into the charger's USB-C port and into your device.
- Try a different wall outlet to rule out the socket.
- Check the ports for debris. Look inside the charger's USB-C port and your device's port and clear any dust or lint, using compressed air if needed.
- Know how the power splits. A single device on one port charges at up to 67W. When two devices are connected, one port gives up to 45W and the other up to 20W, so each device charges more slowly while both ports are in use.
- Test another USB-C Power Delivery device. If a second device charges, the problem is with the first device or its cable rather than the charger.
