Product Overview

The Mini NVMe SSD Enclosure holds an M.2 2230mm sized SSD and connects to your devices through its USB-C connector, plug and play. It has a USB-C lanyard cable, a magnetic tempered glass cover, an active cooling fan, ventilation slots, and a write protection switch that sets the drive to read-only or to read and write.

Setup

The Mini NVMe SSD Enclosure is plug and play.

1. Install an SSD. Install an M.2 2230mm sized SSD following the SSD Installation steps below.
2. Set the write protection switch. Choose read-only or read and write while the enclosure is disconnected. Hot swap is not supported.
3. Connect to your devices. Plug the USB-C connector into your device. The SSD must be formatted to support the host device operating system.

1. USB-C Lanyard Cable

2. USB-C Connector: Connects the enclosure to your devices.

3. Silicone Pin: Pull back the silicone pin to install the SSD, then push down on the pin to secure it into place.

4. Magnetic Tempered Glass Cover: Slides off to install the SSD and slides back on afterward.

7. Write Protection Switch: Switch right for Write Protection Enable (read-only). Switch left for Write Protection Disabled (read and write permission). See Write Protection Switch below.

SSD Installation

Only M.2 2230mm sized SSDs are compatible.

1. Slide off the magnetic glass cover.
2. Install the 2230mm SSD at a 45° angle.
3. Pull back the silicone pin and push down on the SSD.
4. Push down on the silicone pin to secure it into place.
5. Slide the magnetic glass cover back on.

SSDs must be formatted to support the host device operating system.

Write Protection Switch

The write protection switch sets whether the installed SSD can be written to.

Switch right for read-only. Switch left for read and write.

Switch right: Write Protection Enable (read-only).

Switch left: Write Protection Disabled (read and write permission).

Hot swap is not supported. To change the setting, disconnect the enclosure from the host device, flip the write switch, then reconnect the SSD enclosure.

Important Limitations

Only compatible with M.2 2230mm sized SSDs.

SSDs must be formatted to support the host device operating system.

Do not disconnect the SSD while in use. Properly eject the SSD before disconnecting from the host device.

Do not replace the SSD while the enclosure is connected to the host device.

Hot swap is not supported. Disconnect the enclosure from the host device, flip the write switch, then reconnect the SSD enclosure.
