If your Eco Hardshell Case for MacBook Pro 14 inch (ST-MBP14CL and ST-MBP14DR) keeps popping off, it is nearly always because one of the clips did not snap fully into place during installation. The Eco Hardshell Case for MacBook Pro is a two-piece snap-on hardshell: the top case has 6 clips, the bottom case has 5 clips, and there is one long clip that has to snap in or the case will fall off. Work through the steps below in order.

Steps to fit the Eco Hardshell Case for MacBook Pro 14 inch

1. Remove both pieces of the case, then properly clean your MacBook before reinstalling the Eco Hardshell Case.
2. Fit the top case and press around the edges until all 6 clips snap into place.
3. Check the orientation. When the top case is installed correctly, the logo sits on the bottom right.
4. Fit the bottom case and press until all 5 clips snap into place.
5. Press the long clip until it snaps in as well. If that long clip does not snap into place, the Eco Hardshell Case will fall off.
6. Check that the vents on the case line up properly with the vents on your MacBook.
7. Confirm you have the case model made for your exact MacBook Pro model and year. A case built for a different size or model year will not sit correctly.
