If your phone is not charging on the OntheGo Qi2 3-in-1 Wireless Charger (ST-QTG31K, ST-QTG31W, and ST-QTG31R), the most common cause is an underpowered power adapter. The OntheGo Qi2 3-in-1 Wireless Charger requires a minimum 36W USB-C power adapter, which is sold separately, and it charges Qi2 and MagSafe compatible iPhones at up to 15W on the left charging pad. Work through the steps below in order.
Steps to fix charging on the OntheGo Qi2 3-in-1 Wireless Charger
- Check your power adapter. The OntheGo Qi2 3-in-1 Wireless Charger needs a minimum 36W USB-C power adapter for proper performance, and no power adapter is included in the box.
- Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the rear of the charger, and plug the adapter into its own power outlet rather than a shared multi-port hub.
- Watch the front LED indicator when you connect power. It briefly turns on, turns off, then flashes once to show the OntheGo Qi2 3-in-1 Wireless Charger is connected to power.
- Unfold the OntheGo Qi2 3-in-1 Wireless Charger completely and test charging with it flat and fully open.
- Place your phone on the left Qi2 charging pad. The built-in magnets align automatically with MagSafe compatible phones.
- If your phone is not a MagSafe phone, add a Qi2 or MagSafe compatible case or a magnetic attachment, both sold separately. Without one, the phone will not align on the Qi2 pad.
- Remove any thick case or any case with a metal plate from the phone, then place the phone back on the charging pad. Cases that block the magnets are a common cause.
- Test a different known-good USB-C Power Delivery (PD) adapter rated at 36W or higher.
- Charge only the phone, with nothing on the AirPods pad or the Apple Watch module, and check whether the behavior changes.
