Product Overview

The USB-C Hybrid Multiport Adapter turns one USB-C port on your laptop into 4K HDMI video at up to 60Hz, two 10 Gbps USB-A 3.1 ports, and up to 85W pass-through charging, and it adds a built-in enclosure that holds a SATA M.2 SSD so your portable storage travels inside the adapter itself.

Setup

The USB-C Hybrid Multiport Adapter is plug-and-play, no drivers or software required.

1. Connect to a laptop: Plug the adapter's USB-C connector into the USB-C port on your laptop.

2. Connect your devices: Connect your devices to the adapter's ports.

Installing an SSD

1. Slide the cover off the back of the adapter to open the M.2 SATA SSD enclosure.
2. Insert a SATA M.2 SSD into the slot with the labeled side facing up, as marked THIS SIDE UP in the manual.
3. Press the silicon plug down into the notch at the end of the drive to hold it in place, then put the cover back on.
4. Format the drive if it is new, otherwise your computer will not show it.

Ports and Features

1. USB-C Connector: The attached USB-C cable that connects the adapter to your laptop.
2. HDMI Video Port (4K@60Hz): HDMI output supporting up to 4K at 60Hz.
3. 2X USB-A 3.1 Ports (10 Gbps): Two USB-A 3.1 Gen 2 ports for data transfer, up to 10 Gbps each.
4. USB-C PD Port (85W Max. Output): USB-C Power Delivery port for pass-through charging, up to 85W output. It does not support data transfer or video output.
5. M.2 SATA SSD Card Enclosure: Built-in enclosure for one SATA M.2 SSD in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 size. The drive is not included, and NVMe drives are not supported.

Important Limitations

USB-C charging port will not support data transfer or video output. It is a power-only port, so keep storage, peripherals and displays on the other ports.

If using a new SSD, please ensure to format the drive upon installation. An unformatted drive will not appear on your computer until your operating system has formatted it.

The SSD enclosure is only compatible with a SATA M.2 drive. NVMe M.2 drives will not work in this enclosure and will not be recognized. The enclosure fits 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths, and an SSD is not included in the box.
