Product Overview

The R1 lifts a phone or tablet off the desk and holds it at whatever angle you need, from nearly flat for sketching or typing to upright for video calls. Two hinges do the work, a 270 degree hinge for the device cradle and a 180 degree hinge at the base, and the whole thing folds flat enough to drop into a bag.

Setup

No tools and no assembly. The stand folds flat and opens on two hinges.

1. Open the stand: Swing the base plate away from the support arm and lift the device cradle up off the arm.
2. Set the viewing angle: Adjust the 270-degree mount hinge to tilt the screen and the 180-degree base hinge to set the height, until the device sits where you want it.
3. Seat your device: Rest the device in the cradle so its bottom edge sits on the two padded front grips.
4. Route your cable: Run a charging cable through the cut-out behind the cradle to keep the desk clear.
5. Fold it flat: Close both hinges to collapse the stand for a bag or a carry-on.

1. Non-Slip Padding: Rubber padding on the cradle face, on the two front grips and on the base plate. It holds the device without scratching it and keeps the stand from sliding on a desk.
2. 270-Degree Mount Hinge: The upper hinge. It swings the device cradle through 270 degrees, from close to flat for drawing or typing all the way back to upright.
3. 180-Degree Base Hinge: The lower hinge. It opens the support arm away from the base plate through 180 degrees, which sets the height of the device and how much desk the stand takes up.
4. Aluminum Construction: The solid aluminum arm, cradle and base plate. Aluminum is what lets a stand this small hold a 13 inch tablet steady, and the same parts fold down on themselves for travel.
