If your SSD isn’t detected in the USB-C NVMe and SATA SSD Enclosure, try these steps:
- Power off and disconnect the enclosure, then reopen it and reseat the SSD, making sure it’s firmly in the slot and secured.
- Confirm your SSD type matches the enclosure (NVMe vs SATA) — check the enclosure’s specifications.
- Check that your SSD is a supported form factor (2230, 2242, 2260, or 2280, as applicable).
- Try a different USB-C cable that supports data transfer.
- On Mac, open Disk Utility > View > Show All Devices to check for an unformatted drive.
- Make sure your macOS is up to date — some macOS versions have known USB-storage driver issues.
If the problem continues after these steps, submit a support request.
