The Slim X3 Bluetooth Backlit Keyboard cannot be used to type your password at startup when FileVault is turned on. After you log in and the Bluetooth connection is re-established, the Slim X3 Bluetooth Backlit Keyboard works as normal.

To log in at startup, use an Apple keyboard, or temporarily turn off FileVault.
