No. The Virtual Keyboard button on the R2 Bluetooth Multimedia Remote Control works only with iOS devices, such as iPhone and iPad. The feature is not supported on macOS and cannot be customized for use with a MacBook Pro.

The remote uses the same Bluetooth profile as a wireless keyboard, so iPhones and iPads normally hide the on-screen keyboard while the remote is paired. The Virtual Keyboard button lets you bring the on-screen keyboard back up on those devices.
