If your SSD isn’t detected in the Mini NVMe SSD Enclosure, try these steps:
- Power off and disconnect the enclosure, then reopen it and reseat the SSD firmly in the slot.
- Confirm the SSD type matches the enclosure (NVMe vs SATA) and is a supported form factor.
- Try a different USB-C cable that supports data transfer.
- On Mac, open Disk Utility > View > Show All Devices to check for an unformatted drive. On Windows, open Disk Management (right-click the Start button > Disk Management) to check if the drive appears as unallocated or unformatted. If it does, you may need to initialize and format it before it will show up in File Explorer. On Windows, also check Device Manager (right-click the Start button > Device Manager) for any unknown devices or error flags under Disk Drives or Universal Serial Bus controllers.
- Make sure your operating system is up to date. If the problem continues after these steps, submit a support request.
