If you have already attempted basic troubleshooting like using another HDMI cable, we recommend checking the settings of the monitor and enabling HDMI Compatibility Mode.
Will I be able to charge my M2 MacBook Air using the MagSafe charging port?
Yes, you will be able to charge your device through the MagSafe port, and optionally charge through the USB4 passthrough port on the hub.
Can I charge my iPad through the USB-A port?
Unfortunately, not, the USB-A port is mainly designed for data transfer, it can deliver only a small amount of power, so you will be able to recharge only smaller devices, at a slightly slower rate (around 3.5W)
Is this compatible with the MacBook M1 2020?
Yes, although it was designed specifically for the M2 Air/Pro it will also be compatible with the MacBook M1 2020.
Is this hub compatible with the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio?

Yes, the USB4 port would support display output and charging via USB-C compatible external displays.

How come my SD card can’t be inserted into the hub?
The Pro Hub Slim Adapter’s card readers features a sandwich design where a SD card would have to be inserted upside down with the contacts facing up while a Micro SD card is inserted with the contacts facing down.
Will I be able to connect wired headphones to either my 2021 14” or 16” MacBook Pro when using this adapter?
Unfortunately, when the adapter is connected, it does cover the audio port on those specific Macs. You could, however, use a USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter to connect wired headphones through the USB-C Data Port on the Pro Hub Slim Adapter.
Will I be able to connect this adapter to my MacBook if I’m using a protective cover?
Depends, the adapter is 4 7/8 inches long and sits flush when connected to a MacBook. Will I be able to run a 2560x1440 or 1920x1080 monitor at 144Hz using this Pro Hub Slim Adapter?
Those monitors and resolutions will work just fine if using a compatible video output cable and connecting it to the USB4 pass-through port. Via HDMI,the maximum refresh rate will be capped at 60Hz at any resolution. It will support up to 8K 30Hz max via HDMI.
Does this hub charge my MacBook while I am using my USB-C monitor that supports USB-C Power Delivery?
Yes. You need to connect the USB-C Monitor to the USB4 port on the Pro Hub Slim for it to output Video as well as charge your MacBook at the same time.
Is the Pro Hub Slim compatible with the MacBook Neo (2026)?
No, the Pro Hub Slim is not compatible with the MacBook Neo (13-inch, A18 Pro, 2026). The MacBook Neo uses an Apple A18 Pro chip instead of an M-series chip and features USB 3 (USB-C) and USB 2 (USB-C) ports only ; it does not have Thunderbolt support. The Pro Hub Slim's dual USB-C connector is designed for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models and will not fit the MacBook Neo's port configuration.
