This Quick Start Guide covers setup of the Satechi USB-C To HDMI 2.1 8K Cable (ST-YH8KCM): connects a USB-C or Thunderbolt device to an HDMI 2.1 display for video up to 8K, backward compatible with HDMI 1.4 and up.

Setup steps

Step 1: Connect USB-C to HDMI 2.1 8K cable into a compatible external display, monitor or television with available HDMI port.

The Adapter is backwards compatible with HDMI 1.4 and up.

Step 2: Connect USB-C to HDMI 2.1 8K Cable to your compatible host device.

USB-C connector must be connected to host device and not USB-C external monitor.

Step 3: Resolution and refresh rate depend on the host device and external display capabilities 8K video resolution not supported on macOS, iPadOS, or iOS On 8K TVs, settings may need to be adjusted to achieve 8K video resolution. Please check your television user manual for guidance
