This Quick Start Guide covers setup of the Satechi USB-C To HDMI 2.1 8K Cable (ST-YH8KCM): a USB-C to HDMI 2.1 cable supporting video output up to 8K.

Setup steps

Step 1: Connect USB-C to HDMI 2.1 8K cable into a compatible external display, monitor or television with available HDMI port.

The Adapter is backwards compatible with HDMI 1.4 and up.

Step 2: Connect USB-C to HDMI 2.1 8K Cable to your compatible host device.

USB-C connector must be connected to host device and not USB-C external monitor.

Step 3: Cable supports the following outputs: 8K @ 60Hz, 4K @ 120Hz/144Hz, QHD 2K @244Hz, FHD 1080p @ 500Hz.

Host device must support DP ALT Mode over USB-C.

Attention: Resolution and refresh rate depend on the host device and external display capabilities. 8K video resolution not supported on macOS, iPadOS, or iOS. On 8K TVs, settings may need to be adjusted to achieve 8K video resolution. Please check your television user manual for guidance on how to enable 8K resolution.
