The USB-A ports of the 4-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter 4K are designed for data transfer (up to 5Gbps). They are not intended for charging devices like smartphones or tablets.
Is this 4-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter 4K plug-and-play?
Yes, no additional drivers or software are required. Just plug it into a compatible USB-C port, and it should work immediately.
Will this adapter work with the Apple SuperDrive?
No, the 4-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter 4K is not compatible with the Apple SuperDrive. The SuperDrive requires a direct USB-A connection to a Mac and does not function properly through USB hubs or adapters.
Will the adapter work with the iPad Pro or other tablets?
Yes, the 4-in-1 Slim Multiport Adapter 4K works with USB-C iPads that support external displays. However, iPads may have limitations on external display resolutions and extended display functionality.

Why did you update the cable to a braided one?
Transitioning from a silicone cable to a braided cable with a reinforced neck with a more rounded Type-C connector not only enhances durability but also elevates the overall design to a more premium level. This upgrade ensures that the cable can withstand daily wear and tear, reducing the risk of fraying or damage over time.
The braided construction adds an extra layer of protection, making the cable more resistant to bending, twisting, and tugging, thus extending its lifespan.
Additionally, adding a more rounded connector also allows for more compatibility when using different host devices. The reinforced neck provides added strength at a common stress point, further enhancing durability, reliability, and making the adapter more visually appealing.
What’s the difference with the previous version?
Physically, the cable now features the braided version, and the connector was updated to a rounded connector.
As for the ports, the USB ; A port was updated from 3.0 to 3.2 port and now supports 10Gbps transfer speed (Previous version is only up to 5Gbps). The USB-C PD port was also updated and now supports 100W (previously 60W).
Are braided cables better?

Can I use my HDMI to DisplayPort cable with this adapter and connect it to my monitor?
We do not recommend using video converter cables as this can cause a decrease in video quality and connection issues in general.
Are the 10gbps USB-A ports now able to support 2 external drives at the same time?
Keep in mind that most devices (hard drives) may require more power than this adapter can provide. We still recommend using 1 drive at a time for optimum performance.
What charging wattage can I expect when I connect a 100W charger to the adapter?
When a 100W Charger is connected to the adapter, there would be a 15W diminishment due to providing the adapter with power for operation when connected to your host device. Charging rates may also vary depending on what charger you are using.
For instance: the maximum passthrough charge a GaN Charger could provide is up to 80W while an Apple Charger could provide up to 74W.
Can I use the USB-C port to connect to other devices?
The USB-C PD port on the 4-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter is a Power Delivery Port meaning it can only be used to connect a charger to help provide power to the connected host device.
Can I use this adapter on my iPad when it is in a case?
Yes, we have designed the USB-C connector to have a rounded shape, which we have seen assist with connecting to iPads in protective cases featuring protection around its USB-C port.
Can the HDMI port support a higher refresh rate than 60Hz at lower resolutions?
The adapter can support 720p/ 120Hz on supported external displays and devices, but higher resolutions would reduce the refresh rate to 60Hz.
What is the difference between the Slim Multi-Port Adapter and the Multi-Port Adapter?
A. The Slim Multi-Port Adapter has a few less ports than the full-size Multi-Port Adapter. The Slim includes 1x Type-C pass-through charging port, 2x USB-A ports, and 1x HDMI port.
The Multi-Port adapter includes 1x Type-C pass-through charging port, 3x USB-A ports, an Ethernet port, an HDMI port, and Micro/SD card slots.
Both adapters include a short Type-C cable to attach to a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port.
