Overview

Does the Mobile XR Hub support UHS-II MicroSD cards?
No, the D806C hub is designed with a MicroSD UHS-I slot (33 MB/s transfer speeds), which supports UHS-I cards only. While UHS-II cards are backward compatible and can be used in the slot, they will operate at UHS-I speeds.
Is the Mobile XR Hub with microSD compatible with iPhone 14 and older models?
No, the Mobile XR Hub with microSD is not compatible with iPhone 14 and earlier models. The XR Hub connects via a USB-C port, but iPhones up to the 14th generation are equipped with a Lightning port, not USB-C. Without a USB-C port on these models, the XR Hub cannot be connected directly. We also do not recommend using any non-Apple Lightning-to-USB-C adapters as they are not certified.
Will this charge a MacBook Air?
Yes, it can charge through port #2. Keep in mind that it will support up to 100W with a supported power adapter but may block the other ports of the MacBook Air.
Will this work with an iPad that has a USB-C port?
While it is mainly designed for iPhones, it is generally compatible with devices that support standard Type-C interface.
How do I connect my external display via HDMI/DisplayPort to the Mobile XR Hub?
The center USB-C port of the Mobile XR Hub serves a dual purpose, functioning effectively as a USB 3.2 Gen2 data transfer port while also acting as a video output port. This particular port can achieve impressive data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps, which is essential for handling large files and ensuring quick data exchanges. In addition to its data capabilities, this port is also designed to support high-quality video output, accommodating displays that can handle resolutions up to 4K at a refresh rate of 60Hz. This means that users can enjoy crystal-clear images and smooth video playback when connecting to compatible displays.
However, it is important to note that if you wish to connect the hub to a display that lacks a USB-C port for video input, you will need to utilize an additional cable. Specifically, a USB-C-to-HDMI or a USB-C-to-DisplayPort cable will be necessary to bridge the connection between the hub and such displays. This added requirement ensures that users have the flexibility to connect to a variety of monitors and screens, regardless of the input options available on those devices.
Will the Mobile XR Hub with microSD work with a Steam Deck, ROG ally and Nintendo Switch?
Yes, These mobile gaming consoles are compatible. The hub supports up to 100W PD passthrough charging. These devices will charge at full rates when the hub is in use.
Can all 3 ports be used simultaneously?
Yes, but we recommend connecting one bus-powered device at a time for optimal performance.
Can I connect a printer to either of the available USB-C ports?
No, most printers require more power than the hub can supply, it may not operate correctly or could experience performance issues.
Does the Mobile XR Hub with microSD include an extension cable?
No, unfortunately, the hub does not include an extension cable but has been designed to fit most devices that have a case on at a maximum thickness of 2.5mm. Keep in mind that not all USB-C port cutouts for all cases are alike.
Are the USB-C ports on the Mobile XR Hub with microSD Thunderbolt 4 ports?
Unfortunately, not. Port 1 is USB 3.2 Gen 2 up to 10Gbps transfer speed. It also supports DP Alt mode and will work with external monitors connected using a USB-C to HDMI/DP cable.
Port 2 is USB 2.0 up to 480Mbps and supports up to 18W PD charging.
