Product Overview

The Mobile XR Hub with microSD Reader turns one USB-C port on your phone, tablet, laptop or handheld console into three connections: a USB-C video and data port that drives XR and AR glasses at up to 4K 60Hz with 10 Gbps data transfer, a USB-C Power Delivery port that keeps the host charging at up to 100W while you play, and a microSD card reader for pulling footage or game files straight off a card.

Setup

The Mobile XR Hub with microSD Reader is plug-and-play, no drivers or software required.

1. Connect to a USB-C host device: Plug the hub's USB-C Connector into the USB-C port on your host device.

2. Connect your devices: Connect your devices to the hub's ports.

Note: A USB-C cable for connecting XR or AR glasses is not included.

Connecting to XR/AR Glasses

1. Connect Mobile XR Hub to your host device.
2. Connect USB-C cable to XR/AR glasses.
3. Connect the other end of the cable to the USB-C port.
4. It is recommended to connect power to your device to prevent battery drainage.

Ports and Features

1. USB-C Connector: The USB-C plug that attaches the hub to your host device. The host has to support video output and power delivery over USB-C for the hub to work fully.
2. MicroSD Card Reader (up to 33MB/s): MicroSD card slot reading at up to 33 MB/s. A microSD card is not included.
3. USB-C Video & Data Port (up to 4K/60Hz*) (10Gbps): USB-C port for XR and AR glasses or another display, up to 4K at 60Hz, with data transfer up to 10 Gbps. Some USB-C based monitors accept only 4K at 30Hz.
4. LED Indicator: Shows that the hub is connected and powered.
5. USB-C PD Port (up to 100W) (USB2.0 Audio): USB-C Power Delivery port for pass-through charging, up to 100W, with USB 2.0 audio support.

Important Limitations

Maximum refresh rate is 60Hz. Video output tops out at 60Hz no matter what the connected glasses or display support.

When outputting video to external monitors, some USB-C based monitors may only support 4K/30Hz resolution. The 4K 60Hz ceiling applies where the display can negotiate it. Some USB-C monitors will only come up at 4K 30Hz.

Unplug connected peripherals before disconnecting power. Disconnect anything plugged into the hub before you remove the power source.

Host device must support video output and power delivery over USB-C for full compatibility. If the host cannot send video over its USB-C port, connected glasses will not get a picture. The tested glasses and host devices are listed in the Device Compatibility article.
