This Quick Start Guide covers getting started with the Satechi Mobile XR Hub with microSD Reader (ST-HXRSDM).

How to set up the Satechi Mobile XR Hub with microSD Reader

The Mobile XR Hub with microSD Reader is plug and play.

1. Connect the hub's USB-C (Universal Serial Bus Type-C) Connector to your USB-C host device. The light-emitting diode (LED) indicator will turn on once connected.

   

2. Insert an Ultra High Speed I (UHS-I) microSD card into the MicroSD Card Reader slot. The MicroSD Card Reader supports UHS-I (Ultra High Speed I) Secure Digital eXtended Capacity (SDXC) microSD cards (up to 33MB/s).

   

3. To use extended reality (XR)/augmented reality (AR) glasses, connect a USB-C cable to the XR/AR glasses. The USB-C cable is not included.
4. Connect the other end of the cable to the USB-C Video & Data Port. For a display, connect a Thunderbolt 4, USB4 (Universal Serial Bus 4), or USB-C to High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)/DisplayPort (DP) cable to the USB-C Video & Data Port. The USB-C Video & Data Port supports Universal Serial Bus (USB) 3.0 at 10 Gbps, 2-lane DP1.4 with 8.1 Gbps per lane, 4-lane DP1.2 for iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max, and 4K@60Hz mode depending on the host and screen.

   

5. It is recommended to connect power to your device to prevent battery drainage. Connect your USB-C charging cable to the USB-C Power Delivery (PD) Port (up to 100W). The USB-C PD Port supports USB 2.0 data transfer (up to 480Mbps) and plug & play, with Power Delivery 3.1 Standard Power Range (PD3.1 SPR, short for Standard Power Range) and a maximum input up to 100W depending on the host device.

Important notes for the Mobile XR Hub with microSD Reader

• Host device must support video output and power delivery over USB-C for full compatibility.
• Maximum refresh rate is 60Hz.
• When outputting video to external monitors, some USB-C based monitors may only support 4K/30Hz resolution.
• Unplug connected peripherals before disconnecting power.
• USB-C cable not included.
• The Mobile XR Hub with microSD Reader may not be compatible with all cases. Maximum supported case thickness is 2.5mm. For cases that exceed this thickness, compatibility cannot be guaranteed.
