Can I use the USB-C port on the side of the adapter to connect an external hard drive?
A: Through testing, we can confirm that the USB-C port will not read or write to an external hard drive. The mere purpose of this port is to provide pass-through charging to the device the adapter is connected to. Please note that this port is only for charging and will not support video output or data transfer.
