This Quick Start Guide covers getting started with the Satechi Mobile XR Hub with Audio (ST-HXRAJM).

How to set up the Satechi Mobile XR Hub with Audio

The Mobile XR Hub with Audio is plug and play.

1. Connect the hub's USB-C (Universal Serial Bus Type-C) Connector to your USB-C host device. The light-emitting diode (LED) indicator will turn on once connected. Compatible host devices include iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max.

   

2. Insert an audio device into the 3.5 mm Audio Jack Port (3.5mm auxiliary port). The Audio Jack Port supports 3.5mm audio jack, 2.1 channel audio, and microphone input, supports the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) and Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP) standards, and includes volume control functionality.

   

3. To use extended reality (XR)/augmented reality (AR) glasses, connect a USB-C cable to the XR/AR glasses. The USB-C cable is not included.
4. Connect the other end of the cable to the USB-C Video & Data Port. For a display, connect a Thunderbolt 4, USB4 (Universal Serial Bus 4), or USB-C to High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)/DisplayPort (DP) cable to the USB-C Video & Data Port. The USB-C Video & Data Port supports Universal Serial Bus (USB) 3.0 at 10 Gbps, 2-lane DP1.4 with 8.1 Gbps per lane, 4-lane DP1.2 for iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max, and 4K@60Hz mode depending on the host and screen.

   

5. It is recommended to connect power to your device to prevent battery drainage. Connect your USB-C charging cable to the USB-C Power Delivery (PD) Port (up to 100W). The USB-C PD Port supports USB 2.0 data transfer (up to 480Mbps) and plug & play, with Power Delivery 3.1 Standard Power Range (PD3.1 SPR, short for Standard Power Range) and a maximum input up to 100W depending on the host device.

Important notes for the Mobile XR Hub with Audio

• Host device must support video output and power delivery over USB-C for full compatibility.
• Maximum refresh rate is 60Hz.
• When outputting video to external monitors, some USB-C based monitors may only support 4K/30Hz resolution.
• Unplug connected peripherals before disconnecting power.
• USB-C cable not included.
• The Mobile XR Hub with Audio may not be compatible with all cases. Maximum supported case thickness is 2.5mm. For cases that exceed this thickness, compatibility cannot be guaranteed.
