This Quick Start Guide covers getting started with the Satechi 7-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter with Ethernet (ST-P7SM ST-P7SS ST-P7SK).

How to set up the Satechi 7-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter with Ethernet

1. Connect to a USB-C (Universal Serial Bus Type-C) host device: plug the adapter's USB-C Connector into the USB-C port on your host device.

   

2. To charge your host device through the adapter, connect a USB-C charging cable to the adapter's USB-C Power Delivery (PD) Port. The USB-C PD Port accepts 100W input with 80W output max. The USB-C PD Port does not support video output.

   

3. Connect an RJ45 (Registered Jack 45) Ethernet cable to the Gigabit Ethernet Port. The Ethernet Port supports up to 1 Gbps. A solid green/amber light-emitting diode (LED) indicates connection; a flashing green/amber LED indicates network activity.

   

4. Connect a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cable from the adapter's HDMI Video Port to a 4K-compatible display. The HDMI Video Port supports up to 4K at 60Hz and only supports direct HDMI connections.

   

5. Insert microSD or Secure Digital (SD) cards into the card reader slots: microSD with pins facing down, SD with pins facing up. Both cards can be read simultaneously. The card reader supports Ultra High Speed I (UHS-I, short for Ultra High Speed I) read/write speeds (up to 104 MB/s).

   

6. Connect up to two USB-A (Universal Serial Bus Type-A) peripherals to the USB-A Data Ports for data transfer (up to 10 Gbps).

Important notes for the 7-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter with Ethernet

• Connected Universal Serial Bus (USB) devices should not exceed an input current of 900mA.
• Do not connect more than one external hard drive at a time.
• USB-C charging port will not support data transfer or video output.
• Not compatible with Apple USB SuperDrive or other compact disc (CD) readers due to excessive power requirements.
• The USB-A ports do not support charging or CD readers, including the Apple SuperDrive.
• Does not support Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) drives.
