This Quick Start Guide covers setup of the Satechi 7-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter with Ethernet (ST-P7SM ST-P7SS ST-P7SK): a 7-in-1 USB-C slim multiport adapter with 4K HDMI, USB-C PD charging, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-A ports, and a microSD/SD card reader.

Setup steps

Step 1: Connect the adapter to a compatible host device. LED indicator should turn on once connected.

Step 2: Connect a USB-C charging cable to the adapter’s USB-C PD port (up to 100W; 15W used for operation). Does not support video output. Does not support CD/DVD drives or Apple SuperDrive.

Step 3: Connect an RJ45 Ethernet cable to the Gigabit Ethernet port. Solid green/amber LED indicates connection; flashing green/amber LED indicates network activity. Supports up to 1 Gbps.

Step 4: Connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to a 4K-compatible display. Up to 4K at 60Hz. Only supports direct HDMI connections.

Step 5: Insert microSD or SD cards into the card reader slots: microSD with pins facing down, SD with pins facing up. Both cards can be read simultaneously. Supports UHS-I read/write speeds (up to 104 MB/s).

Step 6: Connect up to two USB-A peripherals for data transfer (up to 10 Gbps). Does not support charging or CD readers including the Apple SuperDrive.
