Product Overview
The 7-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter with Ethernet expands a single USB-C port on your laptop, tablet or phone into seven connections: 4K HDMI video at 60Hz, Gigabit Ethernet, two USB-A data ports at 10 Gbps, SD and Micro SD card readers, and a USB-C Power Delivery port that passes charge through to your host device. The aluminum housing sits flat against your machine and the braided cable has a reinforced neck.
Setup
The 7-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter with Ethernet is plug-and-play, no drivers or software required.
- Connect to a USB-C host device: Plug the adapter's USB-C connector into the USB-C port on your laptop, tablet or phone. The LED indicator turns on once the adapter is connected.
- Connect your devices: Connect your displays, drives, cards and network cable to the adapter's ports.
Ports and Features
Parts labeled diagram of the 7-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter with Ethernet with 7 labeled components.
1. USB-C Connector: The attached braided USB-C cable that plugs into your host device. For video output your host's USB-C port needs DP Alt Mode. Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, USB4 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 with DP Alt Mode all qualify.
2. Ethernet Port (1 Gigabit): Wired network connection at up to 1 Gbps. Takes a standard RJ45 Ethernet cable.
3. LED Indicators for Ethernet Connection: The two LEDs beside the Ethernet port. A solid green or amber LED means the link is up, a flashing green or amber LED means network activity.
4. SD & Micro SD Card Reader (UHS-I): Card readers for SD and Micro SD at UHS-I read and write speeds, up to 104 MB/s. Insert Micro SD with the pins facing down and SD with the pins facing up. Both slots can be read at the same time.
5. USB-C PD Port (100W Input) (80W Output Max): Power Delivery pass-through charging. It accepts up to 100W in from your charger and delivers up to 80W to your host device, because the adapter reserves part of the input to run itself. This port does not support data transfer or video output.
6. 2x USB-A Data Ports (10Gbps): Two USB-A ports for data transfer at up to 10 Gbps. They do not support charging, and they will not run CD or DVD drives including the Apple USB SuperDrive.
7. HDMI Video Port (4K@60Hz): HDMI output up to 4K at 60Hz. Needs a direct HDMI to HDMI cable, not an adapter or converter chain.
Features
- 4K HDMI video output at 60Hz
- Gigabit Ethernet for a stable wired connection
- Two USB-A data ports at 10 Gbps
- SD and Micro SD card readers that can be used at the same time
- USB-C Power Delivery pass-through charging, up to 80W to the host device
- Aluminum housing with a braided cable and a reinforced neck
Important Limitations
Connected USB devices should not exceed an input current of 900mA. Devices that draw more than that need their own power supply.
Do not connect more than one external hard drive at a time. The adapter draws its power from your host device, so two drives at once can exceed what it is able to supply.
USB-C charging port will not support data transfer or video output. It is a power-only port.
Not compatible with Apple USB SuperDrive or other CD readers due to excessive power requirements. Those drives ask for more power than the adapter can supply.
The HDMI port needs a direct HDMI to HDMI connection. Adapters, converters and cable chains between the adapter and the display are not supported.
