This Quick Start Guide covers getting started with the Satechi 6-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter (ST-P6SM ST-P6SS ST-P6SK).

How to set up the Satechi 6-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter

1. Connect to a USB-C (Universal Serial Bus Type-C) host device: plug the adapter's USB-C Connector into the USB-C port on your host device.

   

2. To charge your host device through the adapter, connect a USB-C charging cable to the adapter's USB-C Power Delivery (PD) Port. The USB-C PD Port accepts up to 100W input and delivers up to 75W output to the host device. The USB-C PD Port does not support video output.

   

3. Connect a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cable from the adapter's HDMI Video Port to a 4K-compatible display. The HDMI Video Port supports up to 4K at 60Hz and only supports direct HDMI connections.

   

4. Insert microSD or Secure Digital (SD) cards into the card reader slots: microSD with pins facing down, SD with pins facing up. Both cards can be read simultaneously. The card reader supports Ultra High Speed I (UHS-I, short for Ultra High Speed I) read/write speeds (up to 104 MB/s).

   

5. Connect one USB-A (Universal Serial Bus Type-A) device to the USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 Port for high speed data transfer up to 10 Gbps.

   

6. Connect one USB-A device to the USB-A 2.0 Port (up to 480 Mbps). The USB-A 2.0 Port is recommended for low-power peripherals or wireless receivers.

Important notes for the 6-in-1 USB-C Slim Multiport Adapter

• Connected Universal Serial Bus (USB) devices should not exceed an input current of 900mA.
• Do not connect more than one external hard drive at a time.
• USB-C charging port will not support data transfer or video output.
• Not compatible with Apple USB SuperDrive or other compact disc (CD) readers due to excessive power requirements.
• The USB-A ports do not support charging or CD readers, including the Apple SuperDrive.
• Does not support Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) drives.
