M1 Mouse Troubleshoot
Be sure to charge the M1 mouse for at least 2-3 hours with the included Type-C to Type-A charging cable until the Blue LED turns off. Keep in mind, that the cable is only used as a charging cable and cannot be used as a wired connection.
Unpair mouse from Bluetooth list.
There is an (i) icon next to every paired device on your bluetooth list.
Select the icon for the device you want to disconnect. In this case, select the "Satechi M1 Mouse".
It will ask you again if you'd like to forget this device as you will have to reconnect the mouse after forgetting.
Once you've forgotten your mouse, Restart your computer. Once booted back up, hold down the pairing button located underneath the mouse for at least 3-4 seconds to place the mouse into pairing mode.
If the issue continues, please also test on a different device to see if you can replicate the issue.
Does the M1 Wireless Mouse have an all-Aluminum construction?
Only the scroll wheel and top casing are aluminum. The buttons and base are polycarbonate plastic.
What are the weight and dimensions of the M1 Wireless Mouse?
Dimensions & Weight
The mouse is lightweight at 6.2 oz / 175.77 g despite the Aluminum top casing.
The rest of the dimensions are as follows:
Length: 4.37 in. / 11.1 cm
Width: 2.25 in. / 5.72 cm
Height: 1.25 in. / 3.18 cm
Is it possible to change the scrolling direction on the M1 Mouse?
Yes. Go to System Settings → Mouse → Natural Scrolling to toggle scrolling direction.
Does this mouse come with a small USB dongle for desktop use?
No. The M1 is Bluetooth-only and does not include a dongle.
Why isn’t my M1 mouse charging and it’s always showing ~64%?
The M1 does not support battery percentage reporting in macOS. The system may display ~60% even when fully charged. A low battery is indicated via the scroll-wheel LED.
Do you have to turn the mouse off when charging?
While you will be able to charge the mouse while it is on, we recommend turning the mouse off when charging for a more efficient charge.
Will I be able to see battery percentage when paired to my MacBook?
No. macOS does not display an accurate battery percentage for the M1. The LED indicator signals low battery.

Even if the mouse is fully charged, macOS will not reflect that because our mouse does not support this feature. (In most cases, it will display around 60% even if the mouse is fully charged since our Mice do not support this.)
Will I be able to use this mouse with Windows/PC?
Yes. The M1 works with iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Windows, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
How is the wireless range on the mouse?
The M1 uses Bluetooth 5.0 with a range of up to 32 ft (9.7 m).
Do I need to have a USB-C enabled computer to use this mouse?
No. Any Bluetooth-enabled device works. The USB-C to USB-A cable that comes with the mouse is only required for charging, not usage.
What is the current DPI and sensitivity of the mouse?
The M1 supports up to 1200 DPI for precise and fast tracking.
Will I be able to use this mouse with my iPad and Surface Go?
Yes. The M1 works with iPadOS and Windows devices, including iPad Pro and Surface Go.
How heavy is the mouse?
The M1 Wireless Mouse is approximately 6.2 ounces.
How long is the battery life?
The M1 Mouse has a battery life of 45 days of use between charges.
Will the Mouse match my 2018 MacBook Air?
Yes. The M1 is designed to complement Apple devices both aesthetically and functionally. It is compatible with the 2018 MacBook Air and newer devices.
